PETG Filament
PET-G (Polyethylene terephthalate glycol modified) is a high gloss, water resistant thermoplastic and gives a beautiful glossy result. In recent years, this material has become a very popular material for 3D printing as it combines many of the great properties of both ABS and PLA.
Printing with PETG It's almost as easy as PLA and requires very little effort. Layer adhesion is great, making the final result very strong and bendable rather than breakable unlike PLA. PETG does not bond very well to other materials because the glue does not have as much grip on the material. Another great feature of PETG is that neutral palettes are almost glass-like transparent, giving us wonderful translucent colors.
PET-G, using 3DLAC, with hotplate or can be printed without a hot plate. However, we recommend using a hot plate as the print will automatically relax as it cools. For extrusion temperature, 245 is the optimum temperature because lower temperature causes harder and worse adhesion.
