Type-C 140W PD 28V/36V/48V PD/QC Fast Charging Trigger Module
Type-C 140W PD 28V/36V/48V PD/QC Fast Charging Trigger Module
The Type-C 140W PD 28V/36V/48V PD/QC Fast Charging Trigger Module features a standard USB Type-C female port at its input. When used with a compatible PD3.1-supported adapter and an EPR-compliant USB-C cable equipped with an E-marker chip, it can request PD3.1 Extended Power Range voltages such as 28V, 36V, or 48V. Solder selection pads (H / L) on the board allow for setting the desired fixed output voltage. If the pads are left open, the board defaults to requesting 20V. The L configuration requests 28V, while the H configuration requests the highest EPR profile supported by the source, up to a maximum of 48V.
Specifications
- USB-PD Standard: PD 3.1
- EPR Support: Yes
- Input Connector: USB Type-C female
- Operating Principle: USB-PD voltage profile triggering
- Default Output: 20V (If your adapter does not support 20V output, it provides one of the supported 5/12/15V outputs)
- Selectable EPR Voltages: 28V / 36V / 48V
- Maximum Power: 140W @ 28V / 5A, with a suitable adapter and cable
- Voltage Selection: H / L solder pads
Voltage Selection
H and L pads open:
Priority output: 20V
If 20V is not available on the power source, it may switch to a lower supported profile.
L selected:
Priority output: 28V
If 28V is not supported, it falls back to a lower suitable profile offered by the source.
H selected:
Priority output: Highest supported EPR voltage up to 48V
Depending on the source, it may switch to 48V / 36V / 28V / 20V or a lower profile
140W About Power
The product is designated as 140W primarily due to the PD3.1 profile—28V × 5A = 140W—which is common today.
The board itself does not generate 140W. Actual power depends on:
- the PD profile supported by the USB-C adapter,
- the cable's current capacity,
- E-marker / EPR compatibility,
- the selected output voltage,
- the current drawn by the connected load.
