DS1338Z-33+ SOIC-8 SMD RTC Real Time IC

DS1338 serial real time clock (RTC) is a low power, fully binary coded decimal (BCD) clock/calendar plus 56 bytes NV SRAM. The address and data are transferred serially via an I2C interface. The clock/calendar provides seconds, minutes, hours, day, date, month and year information. The month end date is automatically adjusted for months with fewer than 31 days, including leap year adjustments. The clock operates in 24-hour or 12-hour format with AM/PM indication. The DS1338 has a built-in power sensing circuit that detects power outages and automatically switches to a backup source to maintain time and date operation.
