OKI is made in Japan.
This small switch is called magnetic contact (reed switch). If the key is removed to a magnetic field, the 2 metal iron parts inside the capsule make contact and the button closes. When there is no magnetic field, the contact separates and the switch opens. It is a great example of contactless switches. This switch operates up to 1.2A.
