High Current Toroidal DIP Inductor is a passive electronic device widely used in electronic circuits. It is a power inductor made of powdered iron, ferrite, and enameled copper wires.

A toroidal inductor is most often used where large inductance is required. Toroidal inductors have more inductance per turn and can carry more current than solenoids with a core of similar material and size.

 

Due to the type of core used, it is an annular ferrite core known as a toroidal inductor. It is called a choke coil because it can block high frequency alternating currents.
