5N T10AH 10A 5x20mm Time-Delay Ceramic Fuse

A ceramic fuse operates by breaking the circuit when the current flowing through it exceeds its rated value. When the current surpasses this nominal rating, the internal thin wire melts, thereby interrupting the circuit. It protects circuit components from damage caused by excessive current.

 

The distinguishing feature of time-delay (slow-blow) fuses is that they do not react or break the circuit immediately when the rated current is exceeded. This prevents the circuit from being interrupted prematurely—for instance, when using devices such as motors that draw a high surge of current during startup.
