ESP32-C3 Super Mini Expansion Board

The ESP32-C3 Super Mini Expansion Board is a compact expansion board designed to make the ESP32-C3 Super Mini development board more user-friendly. The board makes the GPIO pins on the SuperMini more accessible, allowing for much more organized use of sensors, modules, cables, and external circuit connections during prototyping.

The most significant advantage of this expansion board is its support for 3.7V lithium battery connection and USB charging. Compatible LiPo/Li-ion batteries can be directly connected via the PH2.0 battery connector. A green indicator LED illuminates during charging; the indicator turns off when the battery is full.

VCC1 and VCC2 power lines provide 3.3V output by default. If necessary, these outputs can be routed to the 3.7V battery line using solder jumper settings.

This configuration allows for more flexible operation with both low-voltage sensors and some modules that require battery voltage.

VCC1 and VCC2 Power Outputs

The expansion board has two separate power output lines, VCC1 and VCC2. By default, these lines provide 3.3V. This setting is suitable for most ESP32-C3 SuperMini peripherals and low-voltage sensors.

For applications requiring higher voltage, the VCC1 or VCC2 line can be switched to 3.7V battery voltage. To do this, the default 0R resistor on the relevant line is removed and the jumper pads on the PCB are bridged with solder. Since VCC1 and VCC2 are controlled separately, only the required output can be changed.

Note: The 3.7V output is connected to the battery line; Ensure that the connected sensor or module supports this voltage.
