TL431 TO92 Integrated
TL431 and TL432 are three terminals with thermal stability specified for applicable automotive, commercial and military temperature ranges. They are adjustable shunt regulators. The output voltage can be set to any value between Vref (approximately 2.5 V) and 36 V with two external resistors. These devices have a typical output impedance of 0.2 im. The active output circuitry turns the characteristics very sharply, making these devices an excellent alternative to Zener diodes in many applications such as embedded regulation, adjustable power supplies, and switching power supplies.
