7808 Voltage Regulator - TO220
The 7808 is a three-terminal positive Voltage Regulator that limits voltage output to 8V, making it useful in a wide variety of applications.
Each type includes internal current limiting, thermal shutdown, and safe area protection, making it essentially indestructible. If sufficient heat reduction is achieved, they can deliver 1A output current. Although designed primarily as fixed voltage regulators, these devices can be used with external components to achieve adjustable voltages and currents.
