Alcohol Gas Sensor Card - MQ-3

The MQ-3 Alcohol Gas sensor is a gas sensor that can detect alcohol gas in the environment between 0.04 mg/L and 4 mg/L and can be used in the construction of alcohol meters. It provides an analog output according to the gas concentration in the environment.

 

To facilitate ease of use, the sensor is mounted on a board and made into a module. It is powered by 5V. Both digital and analog outputs can be obtained from the sensor. Thus, both gas presence/absence and gas concentration detection can be performed. Sensitivity can be adjusted with the potentiometer located on the back of the module.  Arduino, It can be easily used with Raspberry Pi or other microcontrollers. If you want to use it with Raspberry Pi and want to use the analog pin, you need to use a converter like the MCP3008 in between.
