The Arduino ESP8266 WiFi Shield is an ESP8266-based expansion board designed to add 2.4GHz WiFi connectivity to the Arduino UNO R3, Mega, and other development boards that use the same standard pin layout. Thanks to its shield form factor, it mounts directly onto the Arduino board, eliminating the need for additional wiring.
