The ASW-A401M-1 12V 140A Smart Dual Battery Isolator Kit with Display is a voltage-sensitive battery isolation system designed to automatically manage the starter battery and auxiliary battery in vehicles. It helps protect the main starter battery while ensuring the safe charging of the auxiliary battery, making it ideal for applications such as RVs, boats, off-road vehicles, and dual-battery automotive setups.

The system features a Voltage Sensitive Relay (VSR) that continuously monitors the main battery's voltage level. Once the engine starts and the main battery voltage reaches 13.3V, the relay automatically engages, connecting the main battery and the auxiliary battery. This allows both batteries to be charged by the alternator.

When the engine is turned off and the battery voltage drops to 12.8V, the VSR automatically disengages, isolating the two batteries from each other. This prevents equipment connected to the auxiliary battery—such as lighting, sound systems, refrigerators, inverters, or similar devices—from draining the main starter battery.

The LED indicator on the relay makes it easy to visually monitor whether the system is connected or disconnected.
