L78L33 SOT-89 Voltage Regulator
The L78L series three-terminal positive regulators use internal current limiting and thermal shutdown. If sufficient heatsink is provided, they can output up to 100 mA of output current. They are designed as constant voltage regulators in a wide range of applications, including local or on-board regulation, to eliminate the noise and distribution problems associated with single-point regulation. They can also be used with power transition elements to make high current voltage regulators. Used as a zener diode/resistor combination, the L78L series offers improvement along with lower quiescent current and lower noise.
