The Photocell-Based Timing Module is a light-sensitive motor control unit designed to automatically operate a connected 6V DC motor twice a day by detecting ambient light levels.

Unlike conventional clock-based timers, this unit does not operate according to a fixed time schedule; instead, it functions by detecting changes in ambient light via a photocell. When it senses the first light of the day, it activates the motor for a pre-set duration. When it detects that the light has faded—signaling that it has become dark—it activates the motor a second time for the same pre-set duration.
