It helps reduce vibrations, motor noise, and surface irregularities that can occur, particularly in systems using stepper motor drivers like the A4988 and DRV8825.

Current fluctuations and driver output characteristics during stepper motor operation can cause artifacts such as "salmon skin," zebra stripes, or similar fine patterns to appear on the print surface. By smoothing signal transitions through its diode-based circuitry connected to the motor phase outputs, the TL Smoother module helps the stepper motor operate more stably.
