TSOP18438 38kHz IR Receiver
This is a 38 kHz module frequently used in IR receiver and sensor circuits. It is easy to use; once powered, you can connect an LED to its output and test it using a remote control. The sensor integrates a PIN photodiode, a preamplifier, automatic gain control (AGC), a band-pass filter, and a demodulator circuit—all within a single package.
Thus, without the need to build an external IR photodiode amplifier circuit, the modulated IR signal from a remote control is converted directly into a digital output signal that a microcontroller can read.
