The DC 8-24V 10-9999RPM Tachometer / Speed ​​Meter + NJK-5002C NPN NO Hall Proximity Sensor is a panel-mount electronic speed indicator designed to measure the rotational speed—in RPM (revolutions per minute)—of motors, fans, shafts, pumps, and other rotating systems.

It operates in conjunction with an NPN-type Hall proximity sensor. Each time a magnet mounted on the rotating part passes in front of the sensor, a pulse is generated; the tachometer processes these pulses to calculate the rotational speed.

Thanks to the non-contact measurement principle, there is no need for a mechanical connection to the rotating shaft.
