MCP23017-E/SP DIP-28 I/O Multiplexer IC

MCP23017-E/SP consists of multiple 8-bit configuration registers for input, output and polarity selection. The system administrator can enable I/Os as input or output by writing I/O configuration bits (IODIRA/B). For each input or output, data is kept in the corresponding input or output register. The polarity of the Input Port register can be reversed with the Polarity Reversal register. All records can be read by the system administrator.
