MCP2515-I/ST TSSOP-20 SMD CAN Bus IC

MCP2515-I/ST is a second generation standalone CAN (Controller Area Network) controller with SPI Interface in a 20-pin TSSOP package. This CAN controller implements CAN specification version 2.0B. It can transmit and receive both standard, extended data and remote frames. It has two admit masks and six admit filters to filter out unwanted messages, thus reducing the overhead of the host MCU. The MCP2515 interfaces with microcontrollers (MCUs) via an industry-standard SPI interface. This CAN controller is pin and function compatible with the MCP2510 and also includes upgraded features such as faster throughput, data byte filtering, and support for time-triggered protocols.
