The XY-K485 TTL to RS485 Communication Module is a bidirectional communication module designed to convert TTL-level UART serial communication signals into the RS485 differential communication standard, which is widely used in industrial applications. The module utilizes VCC, TXD, RXD, and GND connections on the TTL side, while communicating via A+, B-, and Earth/GND terminals on the RS485 side. It automatically converts data from TTL to RS485 levels and vice versa.

The XY-K485 features automatic data direction control. Although RS485 operates in half-duplex mode, the user does not need to provide a separate DE/RE direction control signal; the module automatically switches between data transmission and reception modes.

This allows it to be used in a manner very similar to standard UART communication.
