The H-903 High-Precision Water Leak Detector is a portable sound-sensing device designed to help pinpoint the location of water leaks in walls, floors, and plumbing pipes by detecting the mechanical sounds and vibrations they generate.

The device captures sounds transmitted through pipes and structural elements via a sensitive detection probe or microphone placed in contact with the surface. When pressurized water escapes from a pipe through a small crack or connection point, the resulting vibrations and acoustic noise propagate through the surrounding piping and structural materials. The H-903 electronically amplifies this sound, enabling the user to compare sound levels at different locations.

It is primarily used to locate the source of sounds in in-wall plumbing, under-floor piping, and under-floor heating lines.
