BFH350-3AA High-Precision 350-Ohm Resistive Strain Gauge Pressure Sensor
BFH350-3AA High-Precision 350-Ohm Resistive Strain Gauge Pressure Sensor
The BFH350-3AA High-Precision 350-Ohm Resistive Strain Gauge Pressure Sensor is a 350Ω metal foil strain gauge that converts mechanical stress and deformation on a surface into a change in electrical resistance. When bonded to the measurement surface using an appropriate adhesive, the resistance of the metal foil grid within the sensor changes slightly as the surface undergoes tension or compression. By measuring this change in resistance, the mechanical strain value can be calculated.
The sensor's sensing element consists of a constantan alloy metal foil. Constantan is an alloy widely used in precision strain measurements due to its low temperature coefficient and stable electrical characteristics. The sensor's backing material is made of modified phenolic resin.
The nominal resistance of the BF350-3AA is 350Ω, and its gauge factor is approximately in the range of 2.0–2.20.
The gauge factor represents the relationship between the applied mechanical strain and the resulting relative change in the sensor's resistance.Specifications
