The ESP-03 version of the ESP8266 WiFi serial transceiver module is a small SMD board with integrated ceramic antenna. ESP8266 modules offer a very inexpensive way to expand microcontroller projects with internet connectivity. It has an integrated TCP/IP protocol stack. In short, the ESP8266 module is a TTL "Serial to Wireless Internet" device. The module operates at 3.3 Volts and the serial port is set to 115200 baud data rate.
