The Multifunctional Illuminated Voltage Test Pen - Flat Tip is a testing device used to determine if there is voltage or to locate the neutral line. It can be used to test whether there is voltage in a known location in a non-functioning circuit. The neutral line in the circuit can be found with this product.
This product is very easy to use. When the tip is connected to the neutral line, the green LED on the pen lights up. If connected to the phase line, the green and red LEDs light up. Thus, a voltage test can be performed.
This test pen also allows you to find breaks in the cable. If you hold your finger on the metal part on the back and move it along the cable, a green light will illuminate along the line. When the LED reaches the part with a break or poor contact, it does not light up, thus allowing for cable testing.
The test pen requires batteries to light the LED in the circuit. It works with 3 LR41 batteries. The batteries are included.
